The futura Montessori Day School...

was founded in 2004 and opened its doors in August of the same year to 6 students. Meanwhile futura is authorized by the Montessori Association of Switzerland and serves the educational needs of maximum 50 children between 3 and 12 years, offering a Pre-school and primary school.

The school was founded by Renée Classen, who is a dedicated and higly experienced teacher. While teaching children with special needs on the one side and highly gifted students on the other side, she came across the Montessori pedagogy and found this to be to be the perfect method to enable all children to thrive and develop within their capabilities and to encourage them to become self directed learners, motivated to succeed.  

The school is located in the middle of Baar in light and friendly facilities, and easy to access by car or public transport and offers modern and friendly rooms . We work with high quality Montessori material, such as geh "golden pearls" for the beginners in math up to "binomic cube" for being introduced to the binominal theorem.

Our students and pre-school children come from a variety of different Swiss cantons as well as from a number of different countries. Polyglotism is part of our culture - for both, students and teachers.
